Are you looking for a church home?

We realize that as you look for a church home, you have many choices in McKinney. We believe that God has placed Waddill Street Baptist Church in a strategic location to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40) calls us to love God with all our heart and others as ourselves. The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) exhorts us to make disciples of all the nations. As a church, we are committed to glorifying God by being His holy people in loving ministry to others and in mission to the world.

Here at Waddill St. Baptist, we want to make three promises to you as you seek a church home:

1) We promise that we will teach you God's Word. The Bible is our textbook for all our Sunday School classes and for every group that meets. I promise that Sunday by Sunday, 1 will proclaim the full counsel of God's Word. "For the Word of God is living and active. . . . All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness . . ." (Hebrew 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16).

2) We promise that we will love you with the love of Christ. A church home is an essential part of life. We promise to welcome you with the open arms of Christ's love. To the best of our abilities, leaning upon the sufficiency of Christ's grace, we are committed to meeting your needs. As we minister to you and your family, we pray that you will grow in the Lord and join us in ministry to others.

3) We promise to help you grow in the spiritual disciplines of the Christian life. Our goal is to encourage each church member to grow in the likeness of Christ Jesus. We believe that each Christian has been gifted by the Holy Spirit for service in and through the church. We want to help you find your spiritual gifts and to enable you to be involved in life changing ministry to others. The strength of our church is people meeting the needs of other people. We are committed to ministering to our neighborhood and community.

We encourage you to visit with us and see what God is doing at Waddill Street Baptist Church. It just may be that when you visit it will feel so much like home that you will join God in His work here. Sunday School begins at 9:30 am and Worship at 10:40 am. We look forward to seeing you soon!
